Scaffolder not wearing harness

After recent stories in the news of the HSE pressing charges against scaffolders being caught not wearing harnesses we found it fit to explain our views. As a company DPJ Scaffolding/Network Scaffolding have zero tolerance policy on men not wearing harnesses.

Harnesses are a key piece of safety equipment for all scaffolders and should always be used, whether working on a 2 lift tower or a 22 lift tower. Scaffolders can still be injured or even killed falling from small heights. Therefore we supply harnesses to all site working staff and ensure all inspections are carried out 6-monthly to ensure they are always in good working order. Toolbox talks are also carried out monthly, supporting the importance of wearing them and going through the daily inspections before use.
